With my Unistellar scope I had a good look at M51 – Whirlpool and needless to say 31 million light years away it looked amazing.
While the image was quite rudimentary but it did make an impression on me. I re-imaged this object with the very first exposures I took with my new setup. Here is the result:
And then again reacquired it in 1×1 bin with an Ha channel added in to enhance the dust lanes.
